Lew Siepert Memorial Award

This prestigious award is given in honor of Lew Siepert. Lew was a charter member of the Sacramento Jeepers 4WDC and was a founding father of Sierra Trek, which is currently the largest fundraising event for the association. Lew was a medic while in the Navy and he worked for the local phone company. He was a fiercely competitive and enthusiastic four wheeler, who was always concerned about safety issues within the sport. He enjoyed sponsoring others and passing his experience and knowledge of the sport to any and all newcomers. The Lew Siepeert Award is awarded to the club qualifying as the most active. The club must present a record sheet of points earned throughout the year Points are tallied and the club with the highest score is awarded this distinguished award.
