Tara Ballard Memorial Award

This award is given each year to a woman in the Association that best demonstrates a love and dedication to the organization and the sport of four wheeling. Tara was member of several clubs including the Sierra Treasure Hunters, the High Rock Trekkers, and the Rough and Ready Jeep Club. If you look up the work individualist in the dictionary you will find Tara's picture. A single mom active in a male dominated sport with a Jeep of her own, she epitomized the true spirit of four-wheeling. Her great love was of Spider Lake on the Rubicon Trail, and she led a run there each year on Mother's Day , always with her son by her side. She was always helping out where ever help was needed, regardless of what the job entailed. She was also instrumental in the early set-up of the Association computer system.
