It has been mentioned in another discussion topic to have some smaller type, one day events at other venues.
Something like a Cal4 day at Prarie City, or maybe even Holistter. I am not leaving the South District out, I just don't know what is down that way were you could have a smaller, one day event is all.

This event would have a small raffle, maybe a club have a hamburger/hotdog feed to benefit Cal4 also. Small entry fee to cover any expenses with the location.
Most of the revenue would come from the raffle, and the burger/dog burn.

If you have other ideas for generating revenue for Cal4, please feel free to post them up.

Talking about a trail ride event that supports Cal4.
Something where everyone really shows up prior to the trail ride, and then a small raffle after the run.
Another club might hold a burger and dog burn to also support Cal4.

I know that if we would do this on forest service land, we would need a permit, and insurance. The insurance would be the most costly I think.

Even the Molina event at Holistter requires a permit I think.
We really have nothing close that we could run an event with no permit. Well, possibly, one place, and I would have to talk to the individual who owns the land.

Miller Jeep trail is in the Central District area, but the land down there would also require a permit.

These just take some leg work to get done.

We could do a one day event on Bald over a weekend if people wanted to help host it.

What is the cost for the EMT and toilets?
Insurance from Cal4 is also a cost, and what is that cost?

Those are hard expenses that have to be covered for an event to make money.

If you leave the "trail run" portion out of it, don't you cancel out the need for insurance/toilets/etc? Especially if you are using an OHV area. How did 4WheelParts do their Hollister day a few wks back????

Even a show & shine would draw enough people to make it worthwhile I would imagine.
