On Saturday morning, it’s up and at ’em. This year we have eight (8) trails running through the desert area:

Achy Breaky Hosted by High Desert 4 Wheelers

Difficulty Rating: 3 CB Channel 19

This is a rough, well-named, run. A suspension lift and at least one locker are strongly recommended. Most obstacles have bypasses, but there are several steep hill climbs and rocky areas where body or parts damage are possible.

Line Up at 7:30am Drivers’ Meeting at 8:00am Leaves at 8:30am

Blue Moon Hosted by Jesse May/Dirt Devils 4WDC

Difficulty Rating: 2 CB Channel 21

This is a run for all size vehicles, stock or otherwise. It will run through several canyons and around the bigger mountains. There are several loose hill climbs and scenic trails along the ridges.

Line Up and Drivers’ Meeting at 8:30am Leaves at 9:00am

Calico Run Hosted by GAD-ZUKS!

Difficulty Rating: 2.5 to 3 CB Channel 2

This run is open to all lockers/stockers/long and short wheel base vehicles. "O" yes and all

"U" SUVs are welcome too.  The run will start at base camp and head towards Calico Ghost town just north of Barstow, so please do not AIR DOWN YET! We will explore Mule Canyon/ Hidden Valley/Odessa Canyon/Phillips Canyon and the Mud Hills

Line Up at 7:00am Drivers’ Meeting at 7:15am Leaves at 7:30am

Devil’s Loop Hosted by Dirt Devils 4WDC

Difficulty Rating: 2.5 CB Channel 4

This run will be limited to the first 50 vehicles that sign up. This run can be done by all vehicle types, but long wheelbase vehicles will have difficulty in some spots. At least a limited slip is required, one hard locker is recommended. The trail has rock crawling sections with good-sized rocks, several rocky canyons, a few tight squeezes, some off-cambers, and several loose hill climbs. Some of the more difficult spots have bypasses, but two do not. Body damage is possible, breakage has happened in the past. There is a rock pile obstacle at the beginning of the trail. If you have trouble here, you will want to consider returning to camp and running the Blue Moon run. The Blue Moon run will start at 9:00am and will line-up near camp. Trail leaders will be checking all vehicles in line and talking to the owners of questionable vehicles.

Line Up and Drivers’ Meeting at 7:30am Leaves at 8:00am

El Diablo Hosted by Robert "Gunner" Taylor/San Diego 4 Wheelers

Difficulty Rating: 3+ CB Channel 7

This run will be limited to the first 40 vehicles that sign up. An old favorite returns with a twist- it will be run in the reverse direction. What was once very steep descents are now steep canyon climbs, and visa versa. This run will go up or down 7 to 9 canyons in the hills south west of camp. You will experience a range of challenges, tight rocky canyons, loose uphill climbs, off camber left and right on ridgelines, downhills on steep canyons with twists and turns. This trail also has very scenic views of the entire valley area. Vehicles will be required to have at least 33" tires, a single full locker in the rear or dual limited slips.

Line Up at 7:30am Drivers’ Meeting at 7:45am Leaves at 8:00am

Pumpkin Eater Hosted by Desert Dawgs 4WDC/Friends

Difficulty Rating: 4 to 4.5 CB Channel 17

This run will be limited to the first 25 vehicles that sign up. Requirements are: 33" tires, double-hard lockers and usable tow hooks. A winch is strongly recommended. This run will go up two canyons with rocks and bigger rocks. Also, there will be a V-notch, a dry waterfall climb or two, and maybe a hill climb. This is an EXTRA ROUGH run with NO bypasses. Body and drivetrain damage are likely. A short, rocky canyon has been added and will be run if time and vehicle capabilities allow. There will be a vehicle check in line. Get lined up early so you can join another run if you don’t pass the scrutiny.

Line Up at 7:15am Drivers’ Meeting at 7:45am Leaves at 8:00am

The Empire Strikes Back Hosted by Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs

Difficulty Rating: 4.5 CB Channel 12

This is the return of a popular run led by the Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs. This run is limited to the first 20 vehicles that sign up. Our trail has been called "Extreme, Extra Rough, and a lot of fun!" If not for the snakes, it would be a regular family run. But seriously, our trail is best suited for most vehicles with at least a 90 inch wheelbase, two lockers, and an experienced driver. The run is derived from 3 short canyons - Pucker, Dinero, and TA Terror. All are short, and the only HAIRY spot is at the end of Dinero Canyon. Please feel free to by-pass this canyon if you have any doubts. This is a self-help trail, and our club will be there to help only if you need it, or we feel you are going to have a problem; otherwise, you will be free to try the trail anyway you would like to! The trail isn't that long, but does offer a lot of fun packed in tight! The side-hill tail sections at the mine were cut by hand over several weekends. Mother Nature herself made the canyon. We don't know who dug the mineshaft or what treasures they were after. We hope you will enjoy the "Rock" trip into the desert as much as we have.
The Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs
"Caution," body damage, rollovers or broken parts possible on this trail.

Line Up at 7:30am Drivers’ Meeting at 7:45am Leaves at 8:00am

Jesse’s Southern Lights (Saturday Night) Hosted by Jesse May/Dirt Devils/Friends

Difficulty Rating: 2.5 CB Channel 15

This run will start approximately 15 minutes after the end of the ‘Best Equipped’ game. The run will take you to the top of a mountain where you will be able to see the lights of Victorville and Barstow. SUV’s with running boards are not recommended. Vehicles should have at least 31" tires; otherwise, you might drag the underneath a little.

Line Up and Drivers’ Meeting at approximately 9:30pm (after the ‘Best Equipped’ game)

Leaves at 10:00pm

And on Sunday for those of you who haven’t had enough off-roading, we have the following run to offer you.

Voyager/Beginners’ Run Hosted by Harry and Helen Baker

Difficulty Rating: 2 CB Channel 21

This run, for Voyagers with a driver’s license or the beginning off-roader, will take you through the hills near camp and will be a great introduction to 4 wheeling.

Line up and Drivers’ Meeting at 2:45 Leaves at 3pm
